Summary from Goodreads
My disease is as rare as it is famous. Basically, I’m allergic to the world. I don’t leave my house, have not left my house in seventeen years. The only people I ever see are my mom and my nurse, Carla.
But then one day, a moving truck arrives next door. I look out my window, and I see him. He’s tall, lean and wearing all black—black T-shirt, black jeans, black sneakers, and a black knit cap that covers his hair completely. He catches me looking and stares at me. I stare right back. His name is Olly.
Maybe we can’t predict the future, but we can predict some things. For example, I am certainly going to fall in love with Olly. It’s almost certainly going to be a disaster.
My Thoughts
5 out of 5 Stars,
Well this was a huge surprise, I didn’t expect to love this as much as I did. Young Adult contemporary/romance is not my go to genre but after this I really want to explore more of this genre.
I found this cute and fluffy and I couldn’t put it down. I read it in two sittings but if I didn’t have to go to work I would have read it all in one go.
I loved the layout of this story, using written chapters, emails, homework and IM’s. It made it easier and faster to read and I found it really quite enjoyable.
I enjoyed the main character Maddy and my heart went out to her especially at the end. I liked personality and she loved books so I could relate to that. Olly was another great character and her treated Maddy so well. For me personally I loved the ending and thought it wrapped up the story well.
All in all an enjoyable read that I couldn’t put down and has made me want to explore the genre more.
